And last question, do we have an approximation if we were to fully renovate it?

I know this is a large price tag I'm imagining, but do we have an approximation on that?

We don't.

I mean, we'd be really guessing right now because we haven't gone through any sort of design of what you all want the building to be, but it would be in the many hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Yeah, I just personally just want to put out that I just think that at this point, with no historic significance,

a significant price tag whether it gets moved or we renovate it and at the end of the day our job is for the public good and i think that that building sitting where it is is not really providing for the public good but an expansion of town hall does allow us to provide additional benefit to the citizens so i would be in support of removal of the structure so thank you

if if someone wants to try and move it and it's not going to be a burden you know for us uh monetarily sure i i don't as you said one two three blocks uh i think i know downtown pretty good i'm not sure there's a lot of spots for it but if somebody wants to come along and do it i would i would certainly support that but i at the end of the day i think that a demolition may be the uh the overall answer

First of all, I'd like to just clarify one thing.

I appreciate that the building doesn't have historic significance, but we have any number of structures within the town that are considered contributing for a variety of reasons and therefore are considered or deemed worth saving and preserving as part of the historic district.

Now, I know as we look at this building, it doesn't seem like much, but I know our

The preservationist has said it's got good bones, and she wouldn't recommend tearing it down in the same way as you wouldn't permit a private property owner to remove a building simply because it wasn't of historic nature.

Now, I know we had a vague conversation at one point with an individual who was thinking about moving this building, and I guess that hasn't particularly gone anywhere.

It was just a matter of moving it about a

block and a half around the corner to another site.

Has there been any conversation in the recent past regarding that as an option or is that?

Nothing that I'm aware of, no.
