I have to talk about the sad news around Ali Yeager having to retire.
I think people probably suspected it was coming over the last few weeks, given the rate of the head injuries he was picking up.
Only turning 31 next week, he was coming back to Munster, or not coming back to Munster, coming to Munster in...
you know, a couple of years ago, it really felt like this was going to be the second chapter of his career.
He was going to kick on, become an established Ireland international.
He was going to be a rock for Munster for three, four years.
He got a really horrible concussion quite early on in his Munster career against Connacht on New Year's Day in 2024 and unfortunately has just been picking up similar issues over the last couple of years.
I think most people are probably pleased to see him retire.
You have to take your, you have to put your long-term health first, but it's just very unfortunate for Munster.
It's very unfortunate for him.
Jaeger was his little project, wasn't he?
Yeah, very best of luck to Oli Eager in the future.
And who knows, hopefully he stays involved in rugby, tells the story a little bit as well, which is the road less taken, I think, in Irish rugby.
