Is this a mirror image of what happened with Verstappen and Danny Ricciardo?

is this very similar and dynamic with someone paid his dues waiting for the opportunity Red Bull just coming good and there's this rambunctious unstoppable driver suddenly or seemingly unstoppable that is only going to get better that must be it well he's not doing a lot of interviews but Danny Ricardo is the one to ask how that feels

It's mind-boggling.

And for us to put him into that category of Hamilton and Verstappen also does George and Lando a disservice.

But it does feel like we're looking at something else.

And it just pushes everything into perspective and makes it so interesting.

And I also think Verstappen is really tickled by this, by the fact that this guy is coming up and that he needs to be on his A-game always to beat him.

And it's just phenomenal.

And I can only speak for myself, but I was not convinced when Toto Wolff put him in that seat.

But clearly he was right.

Definitely so, simply because the Dutch fans are really, really looking for a way for Verstappen to be in a car that he at least can battle for the win from weekend to weekend.

We just came from, as Josh said, from the Red Bull Ring, where Verstappen was very competitive on race pace, but...

That's a super small sample size, and we need to see whether or not the real problems that are with this car are going to be addressed.

So I think what is also playing in the mind of a lot of people that are following Verstappen closely is that everybody, it seems like, from the original Red Bull team has left or is on the way out.

And...

Is there the certainty, is there the belief that the current group or the group that's coming in is able to give him what he needs to fight with Mercedes and McLaren?

So there is some anxiety there with the fans, I think, and that's why it's gaining traction in the Netherlands.

I disagree a little.

I think Mercedes is the one that right now you'd always go for, except...

There seems to be a lack of movement there around George and that seat for George.
