uh the what the direction of travel would be for the field because suddenly you could find yourself in a situation where yes you're still probably the fastest driver on the grid but you may not be needed for one of these teams to actually win and that changes your market value as well so i think in this scenario this is also why mclaren is being contacted that there have been just preliminary discussions but also let's not forget

There's probably hundreds of these discussions through the field on a yearly basis that we're not aware of.

It's just a Verstappen thing that we're all very keen to figure out what's going to happen because he's also a bit of the linchpin in the whole driver market as well.

And it's a four-time world champion.

But probably there are so many discussions that we're not privy to that if we would know that, we would maybe give less value to this story or the story last year.

We all fell into the trap of...

They're talking.

They're sitting on the same boat.

And probably it was all about the AMG GT3 for the Nordschleife and settling that deal.

And they must have had a big laugh about that at our expense.

So I think there are so many moving parts.

I'm not discounting the McLaren story at all because it makes perfect sense to me.

But I think they're a long way away from figuring it out.

I would love to see it.

And I would do it simply because he's 19.

And if this happens on a short term contract, then anyway, he's not going to go into the 2030s.

So imagine how good Antonelli could be alongside Verstappen learning from him in a way that perhaps he can't learn from other drivers.
