So, you know, moving into a much slower transition does make things a little bit more palatable.
New Zealand moved from stamp duty to land tax.
They did it very quickly, but they did it at a time when the government in place was extremely popular.
And so they were able to push through with change.
I think in Australia, definitely the possibility is there.
There's a lot of discussion on it.
We've had a lot of state governments look at it very closely.
I think the state governments that would be more likely to move would be Victoria and New South Wales.
They seem to be the most interested.
So I don't think it's out of the question.
It's certainly not being, we go through stages where it is discussed a lot and various state governments propose it.
At this point, I haven't been hearing all that much about stamp duty changes, but it's not to say it's out of the question, particularly over the next decade.
Well, it is around housing supply.
And the problem with housing supply is that it's not an easy fix.
And it's difficult to build.
It's expensive to build.
You know, we talk a lot about the pressure of population growth.
But at the same time, in many parts of the country at the moment, we do need more trades.
We don't have anywhere for them to live.
