Uh you know, just by by being watched.

We we all have felt this uh and obviously there's natural differences, but that also doesn't take away that we do experience it, you know, not not for or against for anybody.

In order for a GP to do a referral that attracts a mental health treatment plan,

Uh they have to check a box which says diagnosis.

Doesn't say challenge.

Um, it says diagnosis and the diagnosis has to be clinical diagnosis like you know, depression or anxiety.

Uh and yes, some wonderful GPs can do much more context, but the fact that we've got a little bit of a system that should a child get wind of that, there's that inference again, kind of says if you've got

versus currently experiencing.

You know, I think language is important in how we think as as as you know psychologists, as as clinicians, as you know, academics, as GPs, parents.

It's so important because it it changes the the perceived threat versus the detected.

Yeah, it it almost speaks to to rather than waiting four well two things.

Early identification.

Prevention, meaning setting up conditions so that like the th those major factors of predictability, um, someone that loves them, that sensitivity to their needs, that those are

also well known and and and try to be integrated into environments, whether it's the school environment, whether it's at home, whether it's you know the systems that we build around around kids, how we do transitions between schools, between, you know, primary school and and and and uh you know high school and every other sort of uh change.
