that it's your friend because you know their voice and you have never heard them make a noise like that before.
And so it's just this soul crushing experience.
And then I see the footage that Ben-Gavir is in the background watching all this and he's laughing, he's enjoying it.
And it was just disgusting to see him be so callous with his cruelty and just like enjoy the fact that we were being brutalized.
I mean, it's the epitome of Israel, but it was still just, that video was sickening and it disgusts me to this point now.
It's really simple.
They didn't rebuke the behaviour that was happening.
They rebuked the fact that Ben posted it.
They rebuked the fact that it was publicly posted and they could no longer do their little narrative of lies.
The behaviour that was there and the fact that we were being abused has been happening to Palestinians for decades.
So it wasn't the abuse that they found abhorrent.
It was the fact that it was publicised.
So this is just something that...
As we went through, it was by far the worst thing that I'd ever gone through in my entire life, but it pales in comparison to the abuse and the torture that Palestinians have been enduring for generations.
The only reason that Benjamin Netanyahu and the other Israeli officials came out and rebuked it is because they had to to save face and to save the mirage of Israel, not because they actually found the treatment genuinely appalling.
I think words are symbolic and we want action.
We want Australia to sanction Israel and we want Australia to actually not only speak up just because activists are being abused, we want them to speak up because genocide point blank is appalling and abhorrent.
We shouldn't have to put our own personal lives at risk just because Australia is complicit in funding and abetting genocide.
Our government should have the moral compass to know that they shouldn't support this.
Yet they don't, and yet they're complicit in what's happening and continue to be.
