Ben-Gavir is not Israel.
He's an agent of Israel.
is just someone that acts on behalf of what occurs there all the time.
He's not the cornerstone of their experience.
So sanctioning him is great.
It also doesn't achieve that much.
So we need to do more than just pin this on one individual when it's systemic prejudice and abuse that is torturing Palestinians.
My message to those people is that this was a mission of compassion and humanity.
And if that's something that's confronting for you, then sure.
I think I'd actually rather to speak to the people that are perhaps on the fringe and they're not sure about what to think.
And to them, I say that please use our experience as a light beacon to move forward with integrity and
and to think about others whose experiences may differ from yours.
I think it's really easy because we've been socialised and cultured to just look at what's happening in the Middle East or in Swana as something that's too complicated and too tense and it's too outside our bracket of understanding.
It's not.
It's really simple.
Humans should not be brutalised as their daily experience and we should all, as humans, we have a moral duty to intervene.
So to those people who are perhaps on the fringe about what to think about GSF,
Just know that this mission was one of love and empathy and compassion.
And if those are emotions that resonate with you, then you resonate with GSF and you resonate with the drive for Palestinian liberation.
And you may not agree with everything that we do, but just know it came from a place of love.
