it's becoming a bit like that corporate rat race again.
So it's nice to be reminded of this and then think about how do I structure my time so I still have the reasons I got into this work.
I think there's a couple of things.
I think the first thing that came to mind was that you that this this business is actually quite hard to make money in.
There are plenty of people out there not making very much money, although seemingly looking busy.
And there's a lot of people out there who can support with this, but you know, you have to pay them and it's it's like another comprehensive training to run a studio successfully.
I think there are so many studios opening up.
I go and look.
You know, when I've been looking for studios, I go and look at so many premises.
And
Most of them don't work because them fundamentally the maths does not work.
And then I see somebody open a studio in that space.
And I think it's I think people are looking at this now as a cash cow and that if they open and they're busy and there are plenty of studios that look busy.
That their PL is not the strongest at all.
And I've been there and I had to pivot my business.
And I talked to lots of
You know, one of the things I love about the podcast, I mean, now it's got big and I get to talk to these big, you know, giants in our world, but I'm still passionate about talking to the everyday studio owners, and it's nearly always a conversation that comes up.
And I'll tell you what, Carl, I get more DMs from those conversations than anything else, you know, about people's struggles with VAT thresholds, with people's struggles with not being able to give pay rises to teachers.
People not understanding that a sixth class is gonna be a much harder sell.
from a financial perspective than a twelve class.
