There was a degree of frustration over Raheem Sterling's performance, good in parts and less good in others.
You do wonder whether had Jamie Vardy come on with 25 minutes, half an hour to go, maybe he could have had a big impact and a big say in the way that that game went from there.
So I think certainly Sterling's under pressure.
Jamie Vardy, how would he fit as that three?
Well, I think he'd be fine.
On the left?
Yeah, as long as it's not the split strikers that we saw before against Portugal.
If you've got Vardy coming in from the left, Kane through the middle, and you've got Adam Lallana coming in from the right, I could see that still happening to 4-3-3.
If they want the diamond and the two, then away you go with just Kane and Vardy.
And then one would assume you would have Dele Alli at the tip of the diamond, although Adam Lallana would make a big case for it as well.
Rooney and Dier, also in midfield and further back in the diamonds.
They could do it that way.
I don't think Roy Hodgson will want to make too many changes because I think the message he wants to send out was, look, this was a good performance, OK, we took our eye off the ball right at the end and got punished for it.
But in the main, it was a performance that he can be...
pleased with and feel that England can build on.
So I wouldn't anticipate too many changes.
We've touched on one, then maybe a positional change or two.
The only other one, I suppose, Ryan Bertrand at left back.
Does he get in ahead of Danny Rose in that maybe he's a more natural defender?
But on the other hand, Rose did well enough, didn't he?
