None of the businesses that I started or co-started exist today.
And so none of them are successful in my view.
Sessions was, I grew up, my mom's a GP.
And so she, I just think at some level I embedded the importance of health and the importance of having a person in your life to be your health person.
as some really critical part of life i was really fascinated by behavior change and i thought the one place in behavior change where i think i could have an impact on others is around physical health so exercise and so i set up this business sessions with my co-founder ben hartney and we built basically a personal trainer in your pocket focused on getting you healthier and living a healthier better life and this was again 20 this was pre-instagram so pre that kind of
Instagram fitness influencer buzz craze and pre the iPhone out, pre the iPhone, sorry, or early on in the iPhone journey.

We needed to be part of something bigger and we just couldn't get there.
We just looked at it and we were like, if we want to influence a million people, if we keep doing it at the rate we're doing it, we might not do that in 10 years or we could join MyFitnessPal tomorrow and influence.
And I remember the first thing I ever launched at MyFitnessPal was a tutorial on how to use the app because we saw that people, one of the number one reasons people dropped off MyFitnessPal was they just didn't know how to log a food.
