I'm just looking, who's this team?
Does this look roughly interesting?
And I just think people really stick to that Sequoia pitch deck thing of like problem, solution, market, competition, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And it's like who's the team?
Like a seed deal is just an interesting group of people with an interesting problem and then you're asking for an amount of money.
And the amount of money is just basically the number of people you'll hire in the next two years.
It's very simple and most people – I would say –
most people present their businesses worse than they actually are in a pitch deck as in meeting someone I'll actually realize, oh, this business isn't as bad as I thought it was because the way that people would just, um, kind of massacre their ideas in, in PowerPoint format when they present them is just, it's a national tragedy, something I'm really passionate about, but nuggets just keep it way more simple than you think.
If it's projected, it's made up, so I ignore it.
so you just ignore it so you basically what are you trying to glean from that and just have you got a product MVP yes if it's revenue change like if it's pre revenue then it's just the team it was post revenue then you're like was this growing really fast or not then you're starting to go okay if it's a subscription business how many customers what's the ACV okay if it's less than five thousand dollars but they have sales people maybe that's not efficient oh it's six thousand dollars they have no sales people they have 25 customers the cost of acquisition
Acquisition's $35.
The lifetime value looks like it's about 100.
Oh, that's interesting.
You know, like your brain is just running different algorithms versus this is pre-revenue.
Okay, it's all a guess.
Who's the team?
And do I roughly think this might be an interesting idea or not?
Yeah.
No, nothing?
I've got Morse Micro, a chip company, Neura, a headphone company, Eucalyptus, a healthcare company, Dovetail, a user research company, Applied, a hiring business, culture, agriculture business.
