And the purpose of that column was I did not know what I wanted to do with my life.
I was 22, 23.
So, it's probably like a lot of 23-year-olds not still figuring it out.
I thought, how can I get impressive people to talk to me?
And it turns out that if you say I'm a journalist, people will respond to your emails, especially if you're a journalist at a well-read paper.
And so I got the column as a means of just meeting people who I thought were interesting to figure out whether I wanted to be like them.
And so I just cycled through every kind of impressive person I could find.
And I met entrepreneurs.
I was 24, 25 when I met entrepreneurs.
It was like I specifically said, I'm going to go and meet an entrepreneur and see if being an entrepreneur sounds like a good idea, which tells you how distant that was from the way I grew up.
I think about my seven-year-old and he is just surrounded by founders, friends of ours, colleagues.
He sits in and he overhears my Zoom calls like crazy.
He and I could not be more different in that I'm at 25 meeting, 25 discovering what entrepreneurship is and he's seven and he comes in and sometimes I'm in board meetings and Mike Cannon-Brooks is the chair of our board and Robin Denham, who's the chair of Tesla, is our operating partner and he just walks in and just sits on my lap and listens to two of the great...
business minds in australian history just sitting there so so it was so foreign to me the whole concept and it was almost like a breakthrough like oh so you can get a job or you can create jobs for other people i didn't realize there was a whole sub-sector of people that create jobs for other people
But it was, yeah, it was like, this is another one you should put in the show notes.

That's just to be, it's just so good.
It's just an incredible, incredible profile about an incredible human being.
But he talked about the first time that he sort of discovered cars and F1 and it was sort of as if his life changed.
