But when I look at his overall profile, somebody who is athletic enough, I think, to handle bigger slots and tight ends in that nickel, in that overhang spot, while also not being a liability in run defense within the box, having sideline to sideline range.

I believe a player like Jake Goldie has all of that at his disposal.

He didn't test as well as I thought from a 40 perspective.

He ended up running a 4-6-2 with a 1-6.

10-yard split, but a 39-inch vert is pretty impressive, and you do see that explosiveness when he is out there.

I think he's somebody, when it comes to his transitions in man coverage, he's pretty fluid with his hips, changes directions well, good feet.

Again, covers ground, very good speed, acceleration, the linear explosiveness and that short area burst into contact is something that's very impressive.

And he just freaking like lights the dude up and absolutely de-cleats the individual.

Another excellent tackler who just drives his feet through the point of contact, solid fundamentals, little things like that that I typically appreciate.

Also has that, and the Giants may not use this as much as some other teams because of the Giants' depth at edge, but he can play the edge, too.

He's not a terrible player on the edge.
