He had a small army and my goodness, they delivered a stunning win in the battle.

I think, in a sense, he's everything that Keir Starmer isn't.

He can point to a very successful track record in Manchester, and to remind your listeners, this constituency is on the fringes of Greater Manchester boroughs.

He is effectively a local guy.
