See, I agree with you that it's the Warriors, but I think it's more on optics because they basically brought back the exact same team aside from rookie Yaxel Lendeborg. matched

There's a couple things, though. matched

Steph has only ever said to me and everybody else he wants to finish his career with the Warriors. matched

He wants to play with one team. matched

So I take him at his word. matched

And maybe to your point, maybe it changes here in the next year or so, but that would really shock me if it did. matched

The bigger issue to me is you could have plugged LeBron on this team, and I still don't think they're that much better. matched

I never got the sense that there was a real push for Anthony Davis because I never got the sense that they wanted to get into that kind of extension with a guy who always gets hurt. matched

So they couldn't get Giannis, and they couldn't get Giannis guys in large part because they whiffed so badly on James Wiseman and Jonathan Kaminga years before in the draft. matched

If you want to be mad at the Warriors – matched

You get pissed off all day about that. matched

But specific to this summer, they want to keep their books clean. matched

They want to continue to try and help Steph when they can. matched

But I don't begrudge them in not making some huge move because I think the gap between where they are right now is the 10 seed and where they want to be closer to where San Antonio and OKC are is... matched

is gigantic, and there is a ton of frustration in the Bay. matched
