So you've got groups like the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, the big, you know,
cattle beef checkoff group uh saying this is ridiculous this is this is nuts you should have seen the comments on their facebook post you know opposing this one and one that really stuck out to me was all red hat no cattle you know it's a play on the all hat no cattle um and and somebody making some comment about a you know donald trump the new york dandy you know knows more about raising cattle than you do
That's the thing is, you know, his comments about cattlemen, ranchers, farmers not understanding what's going on and how to raise cattle and how to do it right.
Who is he to say anything about that?
I mean, I guess he sold stakes at one time as a businessman.
It didn't work out.
Again, like most of his entities, it failed.
It went bankrupt.
But I'll tell you, it has been a unifying moment for us at Farmers Union, for NCBA, the Farm Bureau, many other organizations.
And and I think that's a good thing because we're going to need to stick together when it comes to this, because it's obvious to me that he's wanting to take care of his buddy in Argentina and not necessarily take care of the folks that are right here at home.
Don, I think we're about to find out.
I think the fact that we are at a very high stress time with harvest.
We are in the middle of wheat drilling here in Kansas.
We plant winter wheat here.
Everybody is on high alert to begin with.
And as soon as harvest is over and you start doing your books and you figure out what's there and what's not and what bills you can pay and what you cannot pay, I think people are going to realize real fast that the money is not going to be there.
I'm surprised I'm not surprised.
