I guess the real one was going to Tampa when I was stars to Ottawa.
I was just like a little young and just not really in the league yet.
But yeah, maybe a little easier now being an older guy and just kind of knowing how the league works and having a little experience under my belt.
And the biggest thing is just getting to know the guys, get the locker room first.
uh get to know everyone i think the biggest thing is just getting together with family too when you get to know someone's wife and kids and uh brothers parents i think when you really get close to someone it brings a little tighter when it's wartime uh so i think that's the biggest thing is just coming in and get to know everybody uh i'm a guy likes to fool around a little bit little pranks here and there so uh we'll see what guys kind of like and what guys don't or what guys do and the guys that don't like it might get a little more pranks than usual right
Yeah, I think the big part is just when to take control of the game.
You're not going to have it every single night, but how do you attack that when you know you don't have it?
Who are you going to lean on?
You've got to be able to lean on your line mates.
You've got to be able to find a game where you can still be effective on the ice when it comes to
getting into slumps.
Every team goes through it, but how quickly can you get out of it?
How do you change it?
How do you change the mindset?
How do you, when you're on a winning streak, how do you keep that and take things from it and not get too high?
How do you not get too low and lose?
It's like keeping that medium, middle demeanor of like, all right, it's going to be up and down, but how do we just keep slowly progressing, going up and taking things then?
obviously when big games come it's you gotta everyone's gotta show up you gotta you gotta drag everyone in so warm obviously you don't want to drag anyone but you got to bring everyone with you and everyone's got to fight for everyone uh just things like i will say like playing on tampa we went to stanley cup finals you learned so much from that from that group and uh coaches and and everything so um obviously coming into lease and uh super excited very good squad
very good staff very good coaching so i'm super pumped and things i've learned in the way i'll voice when i feel the need but i'm just super excited
Yeah, and I think it's good when you've got a bunch of guys adjusting all together.
