So the theory is that we bred this aggression out of ourselves.

I mean, there's a period in British history that's called the Bloody Code era in eighteenth century and early nineteenth century England, and there's like two hundred and twenty crimes that carry the death penalty: stealing sheep, pickpocketing, cutting down a young tree.

There's like all these things that they'll just put you to death for.
And after two hundred years of killing people for minor transgressions, England becomes a very polite place, possibly because all of the rabble rousers, dare I say alpha wolves,
were prevented from breeding.
Dang, yeah.
So it's a small and limited example of how you can breed aggression out of human beings.
