I mean, look, here's the thing.

The Jays could do some really fun things at the deadline right now.

And I think what's most interesting is this weekend where you have a lot of these teams who are a couple games back from the wild card.

They are about 10%, maybe up to 30% chance of making the playoffs, according to fan graphs.

And based on this weekend series, we could see teams all of a sudden become massive sellers, massive buyers.

And I'm so curious what the Blue Jays specifically are going to do because they do have a piece or two that they can move to.

at the deadline and really improve their 2027, 2028 chances.

Or they could maybe sweep this weekend, feel like they're right back into it, and then make some other interesting moves.

There's a lot of things that could happen this weekend.

absolutely and what's kind of funny is that i initially got into this really just being completely on the fantasy side and then i realized that what i do i just only talk about starting bitching i just talk about them as players and then say at the end okay cool here's the fantasy lens of it so because what i do is just like do i think this guy is good do i think that what he's doing is what he's going to be doing in the future

And there are a lot of aspects that happen or the aspects of the team context that get lost in the context of a season.

And also, there are a lot of pitchers who just change themselves.

And we can look at the whole season and say that, OK, their fit is this right.

They they're pitching in a certain way that should dictate that they are going to be better or they're going to be worse.

But they're guys like Trevor Rogers, for example, of the Orioles.

who has had a shaky season as a whole.

But as of late, has done a really good job getting his four-seamer upstairs at 94-95 all of a sudden, throwing changes and sweepers down consistently.
