I have been carrying a copy of my birth certificate since June.
And like, look at me, like I am as whitewashed of a Latino as they come.
My parents Americanized the hell out of me so I could have opportunities to be in every room and to be at our old place of employment and to be at USC where I went to school.
And in 2026, I'm carrying, you know, I'm carrying a copy of my birth certificate.
That's not to be dramatic.
That's for safety because shit goes down and it goes down in a split second like it did in San Francisco.
