So um but yeah, seven games against them and the end of the year is a big deal.
Uh yeah, I mean um to Clay, Clay's uh been incredible.
Uh it's it's fun for me when the left handed hitters are up and I'm kinda positioned behind second base and can really see all the movement on his pitches and uh he doesn't throw anything that looks good to hit and I faced him and it's it's not fun, so uh sorry.
Um and but yeah, as far as playing short, you know, it's uh probably the position I've played most in my life.
Um so there's a lot of familiarity there, but it is different when you spend a lot of time at one position and then and then go to the next in the middle of a season.
So um
Yeah, there I feel like we've left some outs on the field with some double play stuff and and I've definitely misplayed some balls here and there, but overall been okay.
Obviously we missed Dansby a lot, uh and we look forward to getting him back.
Yeah, I mean I think anyone that gets the ball on the ground as much as he does fits our our team style a lot.
Um, you know, we contact and guys that um keeping the ball in the ballpark is a is a huge deal when you have a defense that converts out at the rate we do.
So um yeah, he fits well.
it felt like he would've.
Yeah, with his with his movement it feels like he could, but also cool to just know the his career arc and you know, going to the bullpen in New York and throwing a hundred out of the bullpen as a closer for a little bit and then um
going to the Mets and redefining himself as a starter and it just speaks to a a guy who's really worked for everything he has in his career and um it's cool to watch.
Yeah, I mean some teams really are switching players in and out all the time with more platoon based lineups and I think that that's a real challenge to to be constantly next to different people every day, whether it's spacing and different shifts you're doing and double plays obviously stands out as the more teamwork side of things, but um you know, we've got a group that really, really enjoys working, especially the younger guys that we have and um so it's fun to get out there pre game.
I enjoy doing the shortstop stuff.
And um yeah, felt good.
Yeah.
those are those probably show up on on similar balls in play for us.
Um I think you know Danzbees is is a lot more efficient just in how he's able to kind of get into the ground and going back towards first base.
