Following an extensive investigation, 50-year-old Tanya Hamilton, a caregiver who is not related to the family, was arrested and charged with felony child abuse, as stated by the sheriff's office.

The boy's parents endured a six-hour wait while their son was in surgery, and they were devastated by the news delivered by the medical team afterward.
