And the tours are not like 50 people.
We're talking about 10 people per tour because of all the artifacts and everything.
But it's a great, great way to give back to the City of Vista and the Rancho Buena Vista Adobe.
Yeah.
Yeah, RMS Queen Mary, a luxury cruise vessel prior to World War II.
then after World War II, she then regained her luxury cruise days until retirement.
So I went to the University of Arizona.
1997 to 2001, and my very dear friend, Lauren Eichenauer, from college, her and I, our junior year, decided, hey, on spring break, let's go on a three-day cruise that goes to
Catalina, Ensenada, Ndeyeci.
Well, interestingly, there's a cruise terminal, Carnival Cruise Terminal, that's right adjacent to the Queen Mary.
So I remember that spring break, and I was back in San Diego, because obviously I had a week off, so of course I come back to California, right?
So I spent the night at Lauren's parents' home in Huntington Beach.
They live in Huntington Beach too, coincidentally.
That's where I was born.
So the night before the cruise, and I remember Lauren and I packing and so excited, and the next morning her mom drove us to the Carnival Cruise Port to embark on our cruise.
And that was my very first glimpse of the Queen Mary.
I remember sitting in the back seat, and as we drove on Queen's Highway past the ship, I remember looking, and I was like, oh, my God.
Something about that ship just called me.
And I remember thinking these exact words, I will be back someday.
