I don't recall.
What I do recall is there was mention of, there was suspicion because there was wet paint on my jacket or on my trousers and it gave rise to suspicion.
It was jeans because they weren't given back, they were taken in evidence.
I did not get my jeans back, and I think I remember being pretty annoyed about that, as you would be at 16.
We know that John Shaw and Geoffrey Evans stayed in the British Bay area for a few nights after this, during which they raped and murdered Elizabeth, stole a boat, rowed out to sea and pushed Elizabeth's remains overboard, before coming back to shore and burning her clothes.
After that, they headed back down to Feathered in County Tipperary, where they'd been staying with their friend Cliff Outram.
They had the use of Outram's car while they were there and they drove around the local area where they attempted to abduct this next woman.
It was during the month of September in 1976.
I'd been working in Clonmel and when I'd finished my day's work I decided to call to a female friend on the way home.
I lived near Feathert.
I received a lift back to my friend's house from a local man I knew.
I spent a few hours at her home.
We chatted, had a cup of tea.
I was a strong fit 18-year-old woman at the time.
As dusk was approaching, I left my friend's house to walk back to my own family home about two miles away.
Down rural country roads.
Roads that I'd walked all my life.
My friend's brother offered to give me a lift home but I told him I wanted to walk.
It was a lovely evening and I headed off just about nine o'clock as dusk was drawn in.
I hadn't walked too far up the road when a car passed me by and then stopped.
