And I think it was on Lakeside Summer.

And after like a week or two,

of listening to it, I was like, I don't like this verse.

This melody is corny.

What was I thinking, you know?

And it's so funny because in the moment, I thought it was so great, but then after living with it, so it's funny how time or hindsight can sometimes be 20-20 for sure with songwriting.

I like to tweak, go back and tweak.

Oh, you're a big time?

I'm a tweaker, man, yeah.

Man, if you were probably to ask like other people that write with me a lot, they would say that I have a tendency to kind of like to grind.

Like...

sometimes a writer maybe like once an hour be like, Hey man, let's take five or 10 and just go outside, get some coffee.

And I'm always like the one that's like, no, let's just like stick it out till we get this after this line, after this time we'll take a break, you know?

And it turns into like another hour and they're like, bro, let's get some lunch.

I'm hungry.

And, um, uh, I kind of like, uh,

Never want to like give up on like an idea and stuff.

So I just kind of try to like batter my way through things sometimes.

Everybody's kind of got their own way of going about it, but I find my tendency to kind of like try to push through things like that.
