All I would focus on was when I would go for a jog, the wind passing through my hair, like just focusing on that sensation of, oh, that feels really cool, that like I'm going fast.
And just for that sake, how does that resonate?
So where we didn't finish up, if we had some more time, is taking that limiting belief that exercise, whatever you believe it is, whatever feels like a fact that it's and you can tell that your brain is doing everything it can to not let you change your mind.
Your brain constantly wants to suck you into passivity.
So same thing with me and my mom.
So I had to unpack that belief, ask myself if it's serving me.
And if we continue this process, what you
we're very close to on the edge of realizing is that actually it doesn't serve me.
Like believing that exercise is selfish, vain and painful makes you less likely to exercise, which is not what you want.
So once you realize that fact and turn it around into a new liberating belief, for example, a new liberating belief could be, you have to come up with it for yourself so it's meaningful, could be something like exercise is fun for its own sake.
And if it's not fun, I'll find something else.
Like you could adopt that new liberating belief.
And every time you're about to sign up for that HIROX and it starts feeling like an obligation because it's it has to be meaningful and has to involve suffering, you can say
No thanks.
I'd rather go on a long walk.
Because that's fine.
The idea here is you actually make yourself more motivated.
Because people think, oh, well, if I if I'm just gonna like make up this belief out of whole cloth and like just delude myself, well then I'm gonna be less likely to do the thing.
It's the exact opposite.
When you reduce the suffering, you also increase motivation to do the very thing.
