The macro lesson isn't is it real that dopamine does this and, you know, that's gobbledygook.
What's really important is is there a story you're telling yourself that what you used to feel was discomfort is data.
It's just information.
Your interpretation of that information makes it either suffering or not.
And that's the big revelation.
That's the big aha.
And that is the major life unlock in all areas of existence, whether it's physical health, whether it's our professional goals, whether it's our relationships.
It's all about the story we tell and what we call limiting beliefs.
And so that's what I've been researching over the past six years since we spoke about my last book, Indistractable, is why is it?
You know, this was my frustration that, you know, I do these office hours with folks.
Anybody who reads one of my books every Wednesday night or 15 minutes each, I do an hour.
Anybody can call me and we can talk about any of my books.
I love it.
And I started getting these funny phone calls that maybe like one out of 20 calls.
Someone would say, hey, Nir, I read Indistractable.
I liked it.
I really liked it.
But I wanted to let you know that it didn't work for me.
And I'd say, oh, tell me more.
You know, I spent five years writing that book.
