So the law is there.

It is how do you implement it?

So, for instance, the sexual assault treatment units in their annual report of 2025, they had seen over a thousand people.

Of that, one in five of those they had seen felt that there had been a drug use

assisted or drug or drink assisted assault.

So that effectively someone had mishandled their drink by putting more drink or drugs into it and that's spiking.

So by the time someone gets attention for that, even if they go to a sexual assault treatment unit, there's a real good chance that the drug won't be found.

Nobody knows what the drug is.

Or, you know, because people are just so unwell, they don't get attention until the next day it's gone through their system.

And also, even if they go to hospital, the hospitals don't know what to test for.

So there is, of course, there is no law against spiking as such, but there's plenty law to stop people poisoning or attempting to poison people.

Well, I imagine that that is a drug that you are not supposed to have.

So if you have it without prescription, there is a chance, if you were searched in some way, that you could be prosecuted for it.

But that's all you would be prosecuted for.

You wouldn't be prosecuted then for the offence of spiking.

Well, Philip, first of all, actually, people should just stop spiking other people's drinks.
