It's unlikely that you can use the Astra vaccine a third time for a booster because it's going to develop anti you're going to develop antibodies to the chimpanzee virus that carries the genetic material in.

So boosters are going to be with a different

Kind of vaccine.

It might be the Novavax or it might be the Pfizer or the Moderna vaccines.

And we've got to start planning for that now.

We the answer is we just don't know at the moment what the safe interval is between different vaccines and boosters.

I I think it's unlikely you're going to get a booster within six months, I suspect, just on practical terms.

And it's going to evolve into something like influenza, where once a year,

They get a composite vaccine of the variants that are running at that time.

Remembering that what happens with this is that for most people and most of the variants so far, it turns COVID nineteen into the common cold.

Well, I think a lot of it's been left to the states. matched

I suspect that what you'll see is remarkable uniformity, which is the first line of defence and the first line of people who are most vulnerable, as we've seen again and again and again, are people who are working on our borders, driving buses, transporting people from the airport and working in hotels, looking after people who've just arrived. matched

So those are the people who will be immunised first, I would imagine, right around the country. matched

That will protect them. matched

They will get the Pfizer vaccine mostly, which is good because that gives the most chance of reducing transmission if they do get infected, as well as protecting them against disease. matched

And then it's aged care and high priority health care workers, so frontline health care workers. matched
