What about by surgeon?
Because there's a a lot of evidence that if you actually have bowel cancer and you go to a general surgeon who doesn't do a lot of them versus a colorectal surgeon who's trained and does nothing but bowel cancer 'cause it can be quite difficult surgery, they do stay less time in hospital and they have less time in intensive care and seem to do better.
So
Is this just by hospital or by surgeon you're talking about?

Why?
to explain the population, if you get cancer in Australia, you're registered with that cancer and your diagnosis is registered and it varies a little bit of how much detail there is there, but not much information on how you were treated.
But those hospitals that are doing this surgery, you you've got no idea whether it's a general surgeon doing them or a colorectal surgeon doing them in that hospital.
You went go to the best hospital versus the worst hospital.
And the the degree of difference was the same for esophageal and pancreatic cancer?
Any other cancers you see that you saw
And is it predictable?
In other words, is it the smaller district general kind of hospital versus the big shiny tertiary teaching hospital or you can't predict from looking at the sign outside the door?
So is it's as crude as that?
It's the number you're doing a year?
It certainly is a key driver.

It's not so much the surgical safety as the surgical decision making.
If you get pancreatic cancer and you go and see somebody who doesn't do a lot of it or a cancer specialist who doesn't see a lot of it, you often miss out on surgery when you could have had it.
