What we're primarily looking for is risk and stability.
What we don't want is harm.
So the biggest thing that MI6 are looking at, in my opinion, from the work that I did, was how international trade is being done, who's trading with who, who perhaps is building up arms,
You know, who is looking at potentially acquiring another country?
Because it does happen.
You know, who is potentially looking at going to war?
What are the relationships on international trade?
What are the concerns around the world?
How does this affect the global markets, you know, in the UK?
So that's the kind of stuff I was looking at.
And MI6 as a whole will have a wide web.
So if you can imagine, MI6 is really looking at what's going on around the world, and MI5 is really looking at what's going on in the UK.
And again, MI5 are not interested in spying on individuals and citizens and things like that.
If you're not involved in something you shouldn't be involved with, then you're not going to come into contact with MI5.
It's as simple as that.
The primary sort of source is protecting against harm.
So you're right in terms of weapons, bombings, things like that.
Anybody who's proposing that kind of stuff.
Yes.
And the police and MI5 have got very sophisticated over the years.
