So I'm doing an art piece that is about communication and narratives.

And what I started to realize was that in terms of especially the Pellotribe, like the way how stories are narrated, there is this ability to contract and expand a story based off of what's the emotion.

You want to convey, not based on how literal it has to be.

The literalness of it is the foundation.

But what you really want is to land the emotion of it.

And so in that, to be able to expand the world and contract the world in the story is what my parents were demonstrating against me.

It wasn't working it in my favor.

But I think with that, those things are embedded in how I think about communicating things and how I I tell stories.

But I would say a more literal one was I when I finished grad school, so I worked in marketing for 15 years, went to grad school for design thinking, and then went and worked at an ad agency that was interested in service design.

And I sucked.

At it.

I almost got fired in the first three months because I came from being the client.

I was the client forever.

And then I was in this super theoretical program at Parsons called Strategic Design and Management.

Super theoretical.

And now I'm like in the belly of the beast and I'm sitting there and like nobody told me what a strategist is supposed to do.

I'm just like, okay, cool.

I'm here as a strategist.
