There's all kinds of songs about it too, about that very specific thing.

You know, and people can get really like a macho about it and be like, oh, I'm the best cup, where do you start?

But they also, you know, can be very, very wise and very, very deep because that eventually over time, if you stay in it, you know, the fastest can never stay the fastest.

The strongest can never stay the strongest over time.

So it's a practice of being in community and witnessing generational changes and holding each other inside of that.

Well, I have to say, you know, a capoeira is, like I said, its origins are in some of the most oppressed, from some of the most oppressed people who were enslaved in Brazil.

And when slavery was abolished, capoeira was made illegal.

And then it was only practiced in a sort of illegal way inside of environments of poverty and situations where the police were after you and situations where also you have to do all kinds of things to survive.

And sometimes illegal things were chosen to be done, like stealing and...

So capoeira has been used in very intense, aggressive ways and also to defend against oppression, like physical violence from the cops or whoever is around.

And there's real fighting applications.
