And that started the path towards what then would be Beats Music.
They had a similar vision that I had or we had.
around what the music industry would look like.
But they started with headphones, we started with this pacemaker device.
And they actually tried to acquire pacemaker from us.
So when they were building Beats by Dre, I was in LA multiple times, and they offered to kind of acquire pacemaker and kind of bring it into the Beats family, because they were really trying to build, I would say, the leading mainstream music brand in the US at that time.
And these gentlemen were obviously playing in a different league.
Jim Iovine was kind of one of the most important people in the music industry at that time.
And Dr. Dre, his legacy speaks for himself.
I wasn't able to convince my Swedish investors that these people were worth bringing in because they obviously wanted to come in with a discount.
So I failed in selling Pacemaker to Beats.
which then led to me buying the software business and the online business and starting Let's Mix.
At that second opportunity, we engaged again, me, Jimmy and Dre.
And this time it was around the idea of like, what is the future of music and what is the idea of a music streaming platform?
So Beats Electronics acquired Let's Mix and Let's Mix then became the core music platform for Beats.
Yeah, no, it was.
I don't know what adjective to use in English.
It's not my primary language.
I would know how to express it in Swedish, I think.
But it was a roller coaster in between life and death, I would say.
