It was amazing, but at the same time terrifying.

And obviously it was not easy.

I didn't have a problem traveling 200 days a year at that point.

So I was on a plane most of the time.

Not moving my family at that point because my kids were small and my parents were sick in Stockholm and getting old.

So I really, really didn't want to move.

So I got on the plane instead.

And that was my solution.

a while it takes its toll at the same time you're working under extreme pressure trying to build something it was very challenging and at the end it took the best of me yeah and it ended with me having to give up and leave from an external perspective it looks very successful and you know amazing right but it was truly i would almost call it a nightmare at that time were the people who worked for beats were they surprised that you were walking away

Yes, because they knew that it would be a huge deal.

And obviously, I didn't exit on the same level that they did.

I had to just get out because I was literally choosing between that or crashing as a human being.

So yes, it was the right decision.

But obviously, it only took me a couple of months to get back to the races and put myself in a similar situation again.

I went to Daniel and Martin Lawrence on the founders of Spotify, who are good friends.

And I said, hey, I'm moving home.

And I want to build the B2B version of what we built at Beats and you built at Spotify.

I think it's a multi-billion dollar, pounds, euro incremental opportunity.

And I think the initial idea would be to kind of serve what is referred to as the background music.
