If demand increases at a particular point in time, then the price, because of the supply, will have to go up.
And it's not just that.
Several things use more battery at night than we would have traditionally expected, so the solar battery recharges
And just generally moving towards kind of eco-conscious charging and eco-conscious use of electricity, like running the dryer at night, which I suppose technically you shouldn't do in case something goes wrong.
But the general advice to move to using more and more electricity at night means that then the demand then at the night goes up.
So there is some battery storage.
It generally tends not to last an entire night.
So you will use a lot of gas.
So the average price ends up being higher because there's more gas being used than we'll say during the day where you can use mostly solar or if solar is available or wind.
But yeah, by and large, the average price is slightly more reliant on gas at night than solar.
But if you are releasing enough, so like during the summer times, we have a lot of excess solar in the system through battery storage.
But in the wintertime, we might not have that.
Uh, yeah, it's, it's down to demand at the same time.
Like, um, the, the wind energy could be used better, but we, you know, it's, it's down to monitoring, uh, having people on site, things go wrong with these generations, especially at night where wind is one of the most problematic in terms of maintenance.
So, you know, there's, you know, trade-offs.
You can't have people working 24 hours all the time on all of the generation sites.
So some of this loss is kind of deadweight loss in the system.
You know, we have loss in gas through heat exchange.
We have loss in solar through not being stored in batteries and not being able to get it back to the grid.
So loss happens on all of electricity generation.
