The initial reaction, obviously, by European leaders and probably the rest of the world was that sigh of relief that there was sort of an end to the most kinetic part of this war, that we can transition from something from a ceasefire.
to something a little bit more durable.
But shortly after that, we really have the questions flowing in, right?
What is this actual deal?
What is the timeline for it?
What are the milestones?
And critically, what has Iran actually agreed to?
Really, it's a sort of re-engagement of the United States in the potential negotiations for peace in Ukraine, possible support for Ukraine.
You'll remember that the United States effectively basically walked away from all of the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
Obviously, the United States has been largely distracted by the situation in the Middle East in recent months.
We heard it from Donald Trump last night, saying effectively that the United States is going to put its attention back on the conflict in Ukraine, back on Russia and Ukraine, and try potentially to bring that to resolution.
There's also this effort by European leaders and their militaries to potentially have this demining mission that would go to the Strait of Hormuz.
