Well, there's a big merger happening that is involving the parent company of CBS News.
So that's Paramount.
And to get approval for Paramount, this huge media corporation that owns, obviously, the iconic studio, the streamer, but also outlets like CBS News,
they need federal government approval and uh... they need to get they would be need donald trump basically in in their corner and to get donald trump in your corner uh... you have to play to his ego and how do you do that when you own cbs news well you uh...
maybe adjust the programming to be more of his liking.
He pays a lot of attention to what's on CBS News.
And so when you wonder what's going on there, you have to think about this big $110 billion deal that Paramount, the parent company of CBS News, is going to hopefully complete.
You know, they were hoping to do it by
this week, actually, or last week, and they've been stuck by the states.
But that's why I think a lot of the decisions are being made.
So when you look at what's happening at 60 Minutes, you look at what's happening at the CBS Evening News, some of the other programs on that channel's air, that is the backdrop for these decisions being made.
I obviously think it's more nuanced than that.
At least Paramount and CBS would say so.
But it's hard to ignore.
I mean, I think there's I think of.
If Stephen Colbert were, for instance, a conservative opinion or sorry, a conservative comedian, I think he'd still be on there today.
Now, they are blaming budgets and saying that the late shows, you know, economic standing was not very good anymore and they needed to just get rid of the show and move on.
And that's that's definitely true.
Late night's definitely in a tough spot from a budgetary standpoint.
But it's the number one.
