It was the number one show on on late night, Stephen Colbert.

And so it's hard to ignore that.

And Donald Trump had called for his firing.

And so you look at the decisions being made, basically universally, they are being made in a manner that helps them with the Trump administration.

So I personally don't buy the fact that

CBS canceled the late show with Stephen Colbert just because of budget reasons.

Maybe that was a factor in the whole thing, but there are other things they could have done.

They could have slimmed down the budget.

They could have reduced the amount of days they were on air.

They could have cut the band.

They could have cut the studio audience.

There's a lot of things they could have done to salvage that show if the budget was the only concern.

But obviously, Donald Trump is a big factor looming over this whole thing.

So to answer your question, it's not cut and dried as they canceled it to appease Trump, but that certainly played a role.

And with CBS 60 Minutes,

You know, Donald Trump has been ranting about 60 Minutes for a long, long time.

He pays very close attention to that show.

He sued the network, if you remember, for an absurd amount of money over an edit that 60 Minutes made on that show.

So he hates 60 Minutes.

He wants it destroyed.
