It was called CBS This Morning back in the day.

And uh left for the evening news.

And then she was kind of ousted from the evening news and sent to pasture.

Under Barry Weiss, the new network chief over there, she has seen her star power rise.

And I I'm told this is because she is doing everything she can internally to ingratiate herself with the new boss.

And so

So you saw Barry Weiss make Nora O'Donnell a full fledged sixty minutes correspondent over the summer, and now she's going back to the morning show.

We reported this Don a couple of weeks ago that she was being seriously considered for that slot.

Uh CBS News made it official this week and they're they're putting her back in that slot.

Now

The question is, is she going to pull in ratings?

Because ultimately that's what matters here.

They need to fix the ratings problem.

I'm not sure she will, but she's certainly

act as I think a stabilizing force.

She's a veteran broadcaster and and news uh woman and she knows how to conduct serious interviews, political interviews, feature style interviews.

And so she'll hopefully for that show, you know, be a stabilizing force.

I think you're totally right.

I think the issue the larger issue with CBS News is they've broken trust with their audience.

And we were talking earlier how trust is everything.
