It's not about physically fighting.

It's about, like you said, standing up for the weak, the people who can't.

And it's sad because right now you would hope that the most powerful members of society who have reaped all the benefits of the great things this country has to offer

would be the ones defending our democratic institutions, right?

Safeguarding it, saying we're not going to allow this country that has allowed us to prosper and flourish economically or in culture to be just ripped from our hands.
