yeah yeah and i think like just in general i've been through transitions myself in the portfolio and the way i invest and i think that most people tend to go through two or three of these big changes as they learn more about investing they listen to enough podcasts or whatever
they get to a point where they're thinking, actually, I've learned a bit more now.
I do think that there's a better way to do this.
And so don't be frustrated at yourself or anything like that, because like the guys have said, you've got decades.
Like if you just come out of uni, you're a young fella, you've got decades to go.
Simplification over decades will pay for itself, you know, even if you've got a bit of a tax bill today.
And hopefully, yeah, like the guy said, you're going to
earning more.
So yeah, rip the bandaid off.

Yeah, I think in general, like the questions that I always get are the BGBL or VGS being global versus IVV or something like S&P 500 or NASDAQ.
And I think that ultimately it will matter, but it won't matter as much as people think.
So from my read on it, another contender for this is potentially IOO from IOZ for people listening and watching.
And if you look at it over five or 10 years, so very long-term horizon, the percentage difference in performance
NASDAQ's an outlier, very exceptionally good performer.
So we're not talking about that one necessarily.
But the others, it's 1% to 2% per annum.
Yes, that can have a massive compounding effect over your life.
But there is a world where the United States is not the most dominant stock market.
There is a reality of our future where that's the case.
