And that, of course, is the coronavirus and potential implications for us here in Australia could include

something called a recession.

So I'm hoping to discuss this topic or these topics from the perspective of an investor and try and break down some of the things that we've been seeing in headlines recently.

Okay, so let's start talking about what's going on over the last couple of months.

And I am by no means an expert when it comes to viruses or pneumonia or flu or anything like that.

I'm not here to say what you should do or what you shouldn't do.

All I can do is point you to some great resources in the show notes and give you a summary of what's happened, and then maybe some of the implications for our personal finances, ways to prepare, things you can do now that prepare you for these types of events, and I guess also set you up for the recovery that will inevitably ensue.

So first of all, what is the coronavirus?

there is no known cure or vaccine for.
