We've had some pretty tragic news out of places like China, Iran, Italy, and even South Korea, and then further abroad into Europe.
So it's definitely affecting the world.
We've also seen it here in our own backyard.
We've seen it affect
quite a few Australians, and that will likely increase unless we take some drastic action.
And by that, I mean, we can come to expect that events will be cancelled.
Sporting events, for example, should be cancelled.
Travel will be restricted, severely restricted, and we will likely see maybe not so severe lockdown, or at least I hope not.
I'm not an expert on this once again, but...
given what we've seen abroad and some of the experts that I've heard talk on this topic, it is very important that we take drastic measures to stop this virus spreading.
And this virus is similar but different to many other viruses and flus or severe flus that we've seen in the past.
Once again, I've attached some show notes which explain in greater detail what is actually going on.
Another podcast that you can listen to, which I highly recommend, is the Jolly Swagman podcast by Joe Walker.
in particularly his most recent episode, which discusses pandemics.
And he speaks to a mathematician about some of the different ideas and some of the ways that we could solve this problem for our country and for our planet.
It's a really highly recommended podcast.
I will link to that in the show notes.
So I'm not pretending to be an expert on coronavirus.
But this is not the first severe, and when I mean severe, outbreak or virus that we've seen in Australia.
In the past, we had the H1N1 virus, which was otherwise known as the swine flu, for those of you who can remember it.
