It's a lovely soup.
Normally folks make it with only red lentils, but I like to add a carrot and potatoes.
There's always some lurking in the house.
And then y uh it's um flavoured with cumin and lemon juice and a bit of pulby bear Aleppo pepper infused oil.
It gets ready in minutes.
It's always in my freezer.
It's the comfort soup I go to uh when I'm a little bit under the weather and I miss home.
Um and honestly it sticks all the boxes and um
Cheats mante kimalumakarna.
Uh that's right.
Yeah.

Oh honestly it's something we've been eating for years.
It's we call it Yordla Kri Malamakarna.
It's because uh it's it's the pasta with a lovely meat meat based sauce.
Uh but what makes it turn to a cheats manta is A the garlic yogurt um B that spiced oil.
Yeah, yes, pull be bar, but uh we also add dried mint.
Some folks add also sumac, that tangy citrus is sumac.
And honestly, all of a sudden that humble pasta turns into a cheats manta.
I do love manta, don't get me wrong, I do make it and there are ways in the book t to make it easier for folks 'cause I par bake it and freeze it, the dumplings, and then all you need to do is to put it on a boiling water, um and then cook it and you have manta in fifteen minutes after you gone through those stages.
