No, there's Dante societies, I understand from reading some of your paraphernalia.

Have other people done versions of Dante's Inferno or any of the pieces of Dante's writing that are in specific conversation with circumstances of their own life?

Dante, when he goes through the nine circles of hell, has a companion.

He has Virgil.

who was 1,300 years previous to him, but he has a kind of a ghost poet companion who leads him through and kind of explains these circles of hell.

And later on, there's some other companions for Purgatorio and Paradiso.

But in your version, Kimberly, you have this character called the poet Kay, who we've met in the canto that you just read for us.

And you say that this is you, but this is also slightly not you.

It's a way of you...

writing about yourself, which is creating a couple of versions of you, a fractured self, a fragmented self.

How did that come about, that that was how you thought about the way of writing a companion for going through Inferno?

Yeah, or waiting for medication to kick in.

You know, I don't think, I don't know if I ever told you in the times that we've been in communication, I worked as a conflict mediator for a long time.

And one of the techniques in conflict mediation when you're working with people on their story, because they'll say things like, oh, this happened and this happened, and often it's very painful, or it's distressing for them to recall the circumstances of the conflict they've lived through.

And sometimes we'll say, say it in the third person.

You know, use your pronouns or say it to you or tell it in the future tense.
