people are feeling hope for the first time in a long time as everything around them is kind of like crumbling you know everything that trump promised in the rio grande valley and i saw it very vividly it's not happening because i think when you couple the bad stuff the crisis with the hope with suddenly someone like boy bully than the charm like something different may happen
so i think what worked really well in 2024 um were all the like trans attacks and i think latino men really resonated with that because i think there was something that made them deeply uncomfortable around this like changing world and changing gender norms you know and here you had a stephen miller and donald trump saying and they targeted a lot of spanish language latino men i saw it everywhere in arizona and nevada where they were like no no this is too much no like you're in control
And now I think this drive towards Trump that I think was very much based on like insecurity, you know, and perhaps a really, a very real insecurity of like, you know, what, what do you do with this like changing America?
Like, how can I feel like a man again?
At the end of the day, that material, you know, what people were grasping for, which was give me, give me the money so I can help my family.
Let me build the thing that I want to build, whatever I'm going to do.
