But the same thing, whether you're an immigrant, you're a trans person, a lesbian, when you're exposed to the human self, things become very, I mean, human and real.
In the same way that when I've met, like we talked about last time, when I've met extreme MAGA men, they seem so scary from afar.
But when I meet them in front, I'm like, oh, wow.
you're like i i can work with this now you're like i can i can i can deconstruct you as a person yeah so what i'm saying is like you you you need that exposure um and some people don't get to have that but when when it happens it's you know there is some hope
mean, I think it it always is.
We have such a complicated situation.
history of colonization, like such, and that is so deeply ingrained in us, right?
Like coming from countries and from histories where like the Spaniards didn't just create caste systems, right?
Which explains a lot of the colorism that we deal with in Latin America, but a Spanish system
that also ingrained these like very deep and profound gender norms, where literally when the Spaniards started to like conquer around the continent and they saw two-spirited people or indigenous folks and people were murdered because they were too feminine or not.
And so these are generationally, these are things that we grow up with.
