There's a comato called Roddy Stafford who's been the kind of front and center of this campaign.
He started in nineteen eighty six.
He's a dairy farmer, you know, like um, with kids and and and and he's in his eighties now.
Um
So it's wonderful, wonderful to see him.
But his thing is always, you know, h when his his why has always been for our mukupuna's mukupuna for those descendants we'll never meet.
This this needs to change.
This needs to needs needs to happen.
You know, like it's it's made me think a lot about, you know, our country and yes, we've with and our history.
You know, we've always been terrible at telling our history, particularly our Maori history.
That's why so many people don't even know about this and it's it's huge.
But
Yeah, we are a young country and yes, we've made mistakes, but being such a young country, we've got time to do something about it.
And this is one of those moments, doing something about it, um, making right or wrong.
And the people that have worked on it, you know, they've done they've been courageous, they've been they've shown that grit and determination, you know, it's um
It's it's a huge win for them and it it kind of
Yeah, but w once you get away from that treaty settlement process and into the law courts.
